Our story began in 2020 after a 5-days brainstorming session with senior members of staff of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC), Nigerian legislators, National Oil Companies (NOCs) leaders, and indigenous company founders and engineers. The primary question centres around custody transfer and proper calibration of flow meters for oil and gas measurements across Nigerian flow infrastructure monitored by NNPC for fiscal accountability: how do we ensure accurate crude declaration for improved revenue assurance in Nigeria to meet people’s needs in the uncertainties of our ever changing world?
